Some vehicles may exhibit a squeaking noise from the rear brake during deceleration, and the noise is particularly noticeable during braking when the brakes are cold. This is caused by the brake pad(s) having difficulty contacting evenly with the rotor surface during light braking due to wear and/or deformation of the brake pad(s).
