MPG (miles per gallon)
How far a vehicle travels on one gallon of fuel. Higher is more efficient.
MPG measures how many miles a vehicle travels on one gallon of fuel. It is the single most quoted efficiency number, and in the United States the official figures come from EPA testing, not from the manufacturer's marketing.
The EPA publishes three figures for each vehicle: city, highway, and combined. Your real-world result depends on speed, temperature, terrain, and driving style, so treat the ratings as a fair basis for comparison rather than a promise.
From the data: Of the 19,491 trims in the Trimslate dataset, 1,618 are rated at 40 highway MPG or better.
