MSRP

The manufacturer's suggested retail price: the sticker price before fees and negotiation.

MSRP, the manufacturer's suggested retail price, is the sticker price the automaker recommends for a vehicle as equipped. It anchors every price conversation but it is a suggestion, not a rule.

Dealers can sell below MSRP when supply is plentiful or add markups when a model is hot. The drive-away price also adds the destination charge, taxes, registration, and any dealer fees, so compare out-the-door totals, not stickers.
