Horsepower divided by curb weight, in hp per pound. The better predictor of how quick a car feels.
Power-to-weight divides a vehicle's horsepower by its curb weight, giving horsepower per pound. It captures what horsepower alone hides: a 200 horsepower car weighing 2,800 pounds accelerates harder than a 300 horsepower SUV weighing 5,500.
Most commuter cars land between 0.04 and 0.07 hp per pound. Sports cars clear 0.08, and the strongest performance models pass 0.1. On Trimslate the figure is computed from EPA certification horsepower and the measured curb weight, so it only shows where both inputs are real.
